This device is NOT without its flaws though. While reading the spec sheet, you may think it will be lightning fast but the Snapdragon processor isn’t invulnerable to lagging & choppy streaming of videos along with the slower processors. The HD2 does have a FM radio feature built-in but can ONLY be accessed by having headphones in it. Along with the media services, the volume at its maximum for listening to music to too low. TG1’s BlackBerry Bold 9700 ringtone alert completely drowned out the music the HD2 was playing. Another bummer which I see some people are having problems with are the lack of apps in the Windows Marketplace. They should’ve allowed the device to openly download 3rd party apps along with the Marketplace.
This is definitely T-Mobile’s finest for pretty much all of your streaming music apps, YouTube videos, and MOST things media on the screen alone. If any T-Mobile loyalists wanna rock out with the big screen this is the device for you. The bottom line is that this is still Windows Mobile 6.5 and is definitely NOT able to update to the Windows Phone 7 OS. Sprint showed us in CTIA this week, that this phone would be way better with another OS behind it. This is NOT challenging the Number 1 contender, the iPhone but is probably the closest thing from T-Mobile has now. It’s big screen and media is worthwhile but it’s lack of apps will stunt any type of growth.
