It looks like BBleaks.com may have answered the million dollar question on everyone’s mind. He has found the short list of devices that will support the up & coming 6.0 OS. The list reads as I would expect, only the beefier BlackBerries would make it to support the new OS.
- Bold 9650
- Pearl 9100 and 9105
- Bold 9700
- Storm2 9520 and 9550
So anyone with a Tour or a Curve series device may wanna start saving to upgrade to a device on the list or to a newer device that may arrive before year’s end. Also among the different things revealed during the WES conference yesterday, RIM co-CEO Mike Lazaridis did announce that the company’s next platform will be available in the next calendar quarter. So that put this within the lines of BGR’s prediction release. The 6.0 OS will work with both touch/non-touch devices and the Webkit browser won’t work on the devices running 5.0.
