Well we’re a day late but nonetheless yesterday brought tears of joy to Apple users, they unleashed a sneak preview into their new iPhone 4.0 OS. The new iPhone OS brings a suite of new features to game that Apple changed. Multitasking is now ready to go allowing you to now use up to 7 services/apps at the same time (Nice!). Improved Email by providing a unified inbox for those with multiple email accounts along with switching seamlessly between inboxes as well. iBooks app will be available for the iPhone & iPod Touch and work the same as it does on the iPad. Apple introduces iAd which is a new mobile advertising platform using HTML5 mobile ads which is split 60% to developers & 40% to Apple. Apple also introduces the Game Center which acts like Xbox Live or the Playstation Network. The Game Center offers leaderboards, game achievements, and multiplayer matchmaking abilities for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch gaming. The new OS offers the ability to organize your apps with folders along with Enterprise capabilities for businesses with several Exchange accounts and IT security services. The new OS will be compatible with the iPad (will be ready this fall), iPhone 3G/3GS, iPod Touch 2nd generation & the 3rd generation (available this summer). Oh boy, things are definitely getting even better just when you thought Apple couldn’t get any better. Check the video below:
