BGR.com got tipped on a new insurance plan for your AT&T iPhone called MobileProtect. Starting June 6th, iPhone users who have recently purchased or upgraded within 30 days can sign up for MobileProtect, which is under the mobile insurance company Asurion. The new insurance plan will cost $13.99 a month. Deductibles for an 8GB 3G model will be $99 and for a 32GB 3GS will be $199. If you think that’s steep, than you’ve never tried purchasing an iPhone at full retail which is around $700 (Yikes!). Another screenshot lies below.
