For those who don’t know about jailbreaking, it’s like hacking the OS to do more than the factory settings. There is a super easy way to do this with your iPad. In a nutshell, all you have to do is download the Spirit jailbreak app for your Mac or Windows and follow the given directions. Treat the process like your Xbox when saving your progress, DON’T unplug it until the the process is done. Once you’ve done that, you’ll have an app called Cydia at your disposal which acts like an unofficial app store that apps like Backgrounder (app that allows you to multitask). Old apps previously downloaded will work along with any new apps downloaded from the iTunes App Store (umm *whispering* jailbreaking makes many of the apps in the App Store free). If you are uneasy about doing this of even after jailbreaking your iPad, you can easily restore your iPad to factory settings in iTunes will get your old Apple-approved iPad back.
