IntoMobile.com got tipped on some juicy rumors about the upcoming BlackBerry Storm 3, 4, and BB Tablet. The BlackBerry Storm 3 should be ready in the 3rd or 4th quarter with another update to the SurePress touchscreen technology, described as being “perfect”. Expect the Storm 3 to run the new 6.0 OS, focusing on media & gaming as the S3 comes preloaded with The Sims.
The Storm 4, expected in 2011, will feature a magnetic compass & accelerometer to enable augmented reality apps, 5MP camera, and an improved GPS chip. Weird that the S4 is rumored to have the 5MP optics over the S3 BUT this why it is currently considered rumors, anyways. The BlackBerry tablet (codenamed Cobalt) is also expected sometime in 2011. It was originally planned to run Android as its OS but opted to use their new 6.0 OS. The alleged 8.9 inch tablet by RIM is completely hearsay at this moment and time. We’ll note these as rumors until more info comes to light.
