Qualcomm is the company behind the new widely-used Snapdragon processor has now came out with an improved version of it. Today they announced their 1st dual-core processors that can reach up to 1.2 GHz in speeds. These new chipsets will support 1280 x 800 resolution displays, graphic processors with 2-D/3-D engines for Open GL 2.0, high levels of web apps & mulitmedia, low power GPS, 1080p video, and a low power audio engine. No word on when these new chipsets will be shipping with devices but this is definitely exciting news that your mobile device will soon be able to do more. The link to the official release is below.
