Even after breathing new life into the Eris after updating it with Android 2.1, Verizon has decided to cancel the Eris entirely. Not sure if the sales were low on it but apparently the bottom of the Droid totem pole has no more room at Verizon as they make way for new Droid X and Droid 2 which will be unveiled later today. The Droid Eris has begun phasing out by no longer being available on Verizon’s site. It was good having the Eris around for the time it was, it will be missed or not.
