Now with officially three million iPhone 4s sold since it went on sale three weeks ago, Apple goes to acknowledge the i4 antenna  reception issue on holding it on the left side.  Apple was definitely aware of the issue and have been working on the problem for 22 days in attempts to figure out a solution.  Steve Jobs goes to compare similar drops in reception with the AT&T BlackBerry Bold 9700, Verizon Droid Eris, and the Verizon Samsung Omnia  suffering from the similar problems.  The 4.0.1 OS update that was released yesterday is meant to fix what it can with the antenna but the update and the phones aren’t perfect.  Apple is supplying everyone with an iPhone 4 a free case and if you already purchased one, you’ll get a full refund on it.  The free Apple cases will be available to all i4 owners until September 30th.  Check can apply for your free case through Apple.com starting late next week.  If you are still unhappy with your i4, you can return it within 30 days of purchasing and get a full refund.

Also those who have held out can expect the white iPhone 4 to begin shipping at the end of July.  Anyone have issues with the proximity sensor, expect a fix with another software update.  On July 30th the iPhone 4 goes global to continue their worldwide growth in the marketplace.  The i4 will be coming to: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherland, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.  Mr. Jobs ended it out with some Q&A with the audience.
