Consumer Reports engineers recently did a study on the iPhone 4 and its plaguing antenna issues. Only to find out that it is not an antenna issue but a hardware issue. So the rumored iOS4 update wouldn’t fix the problem. Based on their findings, using duct tape or another thick, non-conductive material in between the antenna gap or just get a case would definitely keep those pesky reception issues at bay. Of course no one wants to walk around with a piece of duct tape on their i4 or have to pay for a case when it’s an Apple manufacturing problem. Check out the CR video below after the jump.
