IPhone 4 customers rejoice, you will get the best out of your device, but once again you have to be patient and just wait it out. A software update is on the way. Alcatel-Lucent is to blame for the cap, or at least their hardware. The hardware used in the equipment provided by Alcatel-Lucent is responsible. AT&T reps have said that both companies discovered it was the hardware and thought it would only affect less than 2% of AT&T’s customers and they have a software fix on the way. This problem has also affected AT&T’s Laptop Connect customers as well as other smartphone devices using 3G HSUPA in connection with towers that have the hardware. The AT&T reps have also made mention that their normal 3G upload speeds, while slower, are still available for affected customers.
