IntoMobile spotted the official HTC software update that you’re able to upload from here. Of course extreme caution needs to be used when using this version to update your EVO. HTC tweeted for its EVO users to beware as the version floating around may cause problems to your device. They urge users to wait for he official update coming next week but for those of you who are risky and willing to attempt it. The directions to update are below:
- Place in the root of your SD card
- Boot into recovery mode
- Select “apply update.zip” or “install from .zip”
- Enjoy your Froyo!
