After many leaks and caught on photos, Verizon officially unveils the Motorola Droid 2.  The Droid 2 will be shipping with Android 2.2 (bringing Flash Player 10.1 and 3G Mobile Hotspot) and Swype software keyboard built-in.  We were beaten over the head with the specs of a 3.7inch touchscreen, 5MP camera w/ flash and 720p HD video recording, DNLA support, 8GB of internal memory and a 8GB MicroSD card installed.   The Droid 2 pricing is at $199.99 after $100 mail-in rebate and new two-year contract and the R2-D2 edition Droid 2 will become available in September online, no word on the pricing.   Droid 2 online pre-sale starts tomorrow and will become available in stores on August 12th.  Hit the link below for the official release.
