Anyone who picked up a Samsung Fascinate for Verizon recently may have noticed that Bing is the default and only search engine on the smartphone running Google’s mobile OS.   Apparently Microsoft’s Bing influence at Verizon is very strong, as to where other than searching via browser, the Google search is no where to be found on the device.   PhoneScoop received confirmation from Verizon that when the Fascinate gets its Android 2.2 update, users can download the Google Search and Voice Search from the Android Market.   But despite when the Froyo update, Bing will still be the default search engine for the Fascinate.   Tough break Fascinate users.
