Some of you may have heard of Marvell or not but to keep everyone informed, Marvell provides BlackBerry’s 624MHz processor in Bolds, Pearl 3G, and new Curve 3G. Now that we’re all on the same page, Marvell has now announced that their working on a newer, meaner, faster processor for mobile devices. They are soon to start production on the Armada 628, which is a tri-core processor with two central cores reaching speeds of 1.5GHz and the third core runs at 624MHz. The Armada can stream 1080p, 3D video, and 3D graphics along with Open GL 2.0, HDMI, and USB 3.0 support. The new mobile processor supports BlackBerry, Android, Linux, Windows Phone 7, and full Adobe Flash support as well. No word on when the new chipsets will become available.
