Verizon has announced the newest security feature for its customers with insurance (Total Equipment Coverage) on their devices called Verizon Mobile Recovery Service. At no additional cost Verizon offers features like remote wipe, locate stolen device, etc for those with TEC (which is run by Asurion). This service is seemingly similiar to what BlackBerry Protect has to offer. The new service is available right now for Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, Palm webOS, and Android devices for Verizon.
