BGR spotted a noteworthy change in AT&T’s early upgrade pricing on smartphones. Made effective on October 3rd on anyone AT&T customer looking to upgrade early on a smartphone device will become subject to a now higher early upgrade fee. Previously it was $75 but it has now been increased to $200. So say if anyone wants to pick up a Torch since it has a newer, more stable OS and still locked in your contract, will have to cough up $199.99 for the Torch plus another $200. AT&T looks at it like they are saving you $100 from the full retail pricing. You be the judge.
