After Samsung announced their Android-powered Galaxy Tab, there was word of an up and coming Wi-Fi only model that would become available to customers. The full 3G+Wi-Fi model retails for $599 with no strings attached and the Wi-Fi only model would sell for $499 according to the Best Buy screenshot. The Best Buy ad shows only Sprint and Verizon Wi-Fi only versions of the Tab. The CDMA variants of the Wi-Fi only model will come in only a silver color. The carrier-branded versions of the Galaxy Tab is slated for a November release. Best Buy will carry both versions of the Galaxy Tab but no word on when or will the GSM (AT&T and T-Mobile) models will offer a Wi-Fi only version.
