You read the title right. Google has been hard at work developing automated cars that are manned by real drivers. The automated cars use video cameras, radar sensors, and a laser range finder to “see” other traffic combined with Google’s data centers make it easy for the self-driving vehicle to operate. These Google cars have traveled over 140,000 miles through the Pacific Coast Highway, crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, and ventured to both of Google’s west coast offices in Santa Monica and Mountain View. As scary or interesting this maybe keep in mind that these are in the beta stages. We may soon enter the Demolition Man age of technology within the next 10-20 years. *Disclaimer* Skynet is growing!
