Well looks like a developer limera1n, has jailbroken the iDevices running iOS4.1 and iPads running OS 3.2.2. Always good to have someone hacking for your Apple freedom. Limera1n definitely pissed off the developer team by offering this jailbreak and giving Apple the opportunity to offer a fix for all jailbreaks in one fell swoop. This jailbreak is currently in beta form and only supported by Windows. Jailbreak is coming soon to Mac and Linux. *Disclaimer* Be careful as you hack and open up your device and be sure you wanna try it out before starting this process.

1. Update to iOS 4.1 if you haven’t already. Make sure to backup everything before updating to the new OS! 

For those with an iPhone 4 ONLY that want to preserve their baseband and unlock, follow directions here to update to 4.1 and keep you’re current unlock: http://iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=12134

2. After you’re on iOS 4.1, Download Limra1n here [CURRENLY ONLY FOR WINDOWS. MAC VERSION COMING SOON] Save the file to your desktop.

3. Plug in your iPhone 3G/3GS/4 or iPod Touch 2G/3G/4G or iPad via USB. Exit out of iTunes (If its open).

4. Double click the limera1n.exe file on your desktop to launch the application

5. Click the large Make It Ra1n button

6. Your iDevice will go into Recovery Mode

7. When Limera1n asks you to, release the power button on your iDevice, but DO NOT release the home button

8. Limera1n will make your iDevice go into DFU mode (Just sit back and wait).

9. Once you’re on your homescreen, make sure you’re connected to a WiFi network and click on the Limera1n icon on your iPhone homescreen.

10. After you launch the app, select the Cydia option then press the Install button at the top right of the screen.

11. Once the installation of Cydia is complete, the iDevice will reboot. If it does not automatically reboot, manually hold down power and home buttons until the Apple Logo appears.

12. Enjoy you’re jailbroken iDevice!
