Sprint was originally scheduled to roll out the update starting on September 30th at midnight but ‘due to administrative issues getting this update on Google’s servers.’   Since then, the issue has been resolved and they have continued rolling out the maintenance update to Epic 4G users.   The common issue that plagued enough Epic 4G owners was the slow upload speeds on 3G service.  That is now fixed along with other dilemmas that kept owners from being satisfied.    The short list of fixes are:
  • WiFi standby battery drain
  • Amazon MP3 cannot download in 4G
  • Large emails lag in upload speeds
  • Increased 3G upload speeds
