Last night I was able to make it out to Engadget’s reader meetup and it was a blast!  Although I wasn’t able to win any of their awesome prizes, it was worth the trip.  I was able to get a hands on with a couple of yet-to-be released devices.   One of them was the recently announced BlackBerry Style for Sprint at RIM’s booth.

  • Nice weight and size, not as bulky or ugly as you may think it in person
  • Runs BB6 smoothly (although they weren’t connected to the net)
  • Trackpad sticks out slightly and makes navigation great for one-hand action
  • Bold-style keyboard is always a plus and edges (Q,A, Alt & P, Del, Enter buttons) aren’t as recessed as on the Torch
  • I think RIM got this clamshell it just right compared to the Pearl flip (although I doubt it will be a big seller but who knows)
