The CEO of Coinstar, which is the parent company of Redbox, is currently in negotiations to decide on a partner to assist with the streaming service. This pretty much let’s the cat out of the bag in regards to what Redbox plans on doing next along with offering video games as well. They have no plans on phasing out their automated DVD kiosks as they venture into the land of internet-streaming. Redbox is definitely going to go head-to-head with Netflix on this as the we can expect the price to be cheaper and offering to be better with Redbox. In situations like the consumer wins as rivaling companies compete.
