Google announced yesterday their app store for PC users called the Chrome Web Store.   The Web Store is already armed with apps and games that users can easily purchase through Google Checkout.    The Web Store offers offline mode and like everything else, purchases will be tied to your Google account.   It is currently available in the US and can be accessed via Chrome browser and other browsers as well.    Below is a statement from Google on their new app storefront:

Today the Chrome Web Store is open for business. Developers have already started uploading apps, and we expect the number to grow over time. Right now the store is only available in the U.S., but will expand to many countries and currencies early next year. The store will be featured prominently in Chrome, helping people discover great apps and developers reach millions of users around the world.
