Yesterday Google updated the Google Voice app for iOS devices and along with it, they added support for the iPad and iPod Touch.   Google adds Click2Call feature that gives you the ability to initiate GV calls with your phones.  The new GV app doesn’t give your iPad or iPod Touch phone capabilities unfortunately.   Along with adding support with those two devices, Google also added some new tricks to GV like:

  • GV stops multiple notifications while you enable Push Notifications.
  • The ability to send calls straight to voicemail with a Do Not Disturb feature within the Settings tab.
  • GV provided the addition of a dedicated Contacts button in the dialer.
  • Improved way to send text messages through GV.
You can download the updated version of GV for your iPad or iPod Touch here.
