Fox News got the scoop on what many may have been waiting for, more details on the HP/Palm’s webOS tablet. Slated to announced among many other major news at this year’s CES and to become available sometime in 2011. But Palm doesn’t plan on releasing just one tablet but four, three to be unveiled at CES and the fourth at a later date. The tablets will target educational markets and consumer markets. One of the university models with have a 9.7inch touchscreen and another will sport a 8.9inch touchscreen. The specs on the consumer model is below:
- compatible with Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network
- running webOS 2.5.1 optimized for tablets
- HDMI-Out
- 1.3MP front-facing camera & 3MP rear-facing camera both w/ LED Flash
- USB 3.0 Port
No word on the processor and speed at the moment. It may have took everyone nearly a year, but the iPad looks to finally get some competition. We’ll see how this plays out in 2011.
