Today is the day that the top carrier in the US, Verizon, hits the switch on their new 4G LTE network.   IN case you missed all of the previous news on it, monthly data pricing on their network is $50 for 5GB/$80 for 10GB, the two 4G USB Modems are the Pantech UML290 and the LG VL600 both priced at $99 w/ two-year contract after $50 mail-in rebate and $249.99 at full retail pricing.   4G-capable smartphones are on the way in 2011 for Verizon.   Their 4G LTE network boasts speeds of 5-12Mbps to download and 2-5Mbps to upload.
