The YouTube app for Android has some new treats added to its 2.0 version, like Vevo’s library of music videos. The only requirement is that your Android device needs to be running 2.2 or higher. The newer version of YouTube will arrive preloaded with Android 2.3 devices. The only downside is that with the new update brings short ads before viewing your desired selection. Below are more features added to the update:
- Music videos are now clearly marked with a ‘music note’ badge
- While enjoying the video you can read ‘artist bio’
- It’s easy to discover more tracks from the same artist using ‘artist tracks’ tab
- You’ll find similar cool bands on the ‘related artists’ tab
