Bad news for anyone still with CLIQ XT. Motorola announced yesterday via the Motorola Forums that they have no plans on updating the device past the Android 1.5 OS that it currently operates. The XT was slated to receive the Android 2.1 update but was delayed back in December for more testing. Motorola felt that they couldn’t get the 2.1 OS to meet the basic performance standards and were not able to get a version of the OS work best with the device. So anyone still holding on to this device it is definitely time to upgrade or just wait for the Galaxy S 4G.
