Verizon offers a new service for its subscribers called Home Connect which allows you to connect your home phone to VZW’s network. It uses a base station that merges your home phone to VZW’s network for $19.99 monthly for unlimited calling and $9.99 monthly to add your home phone to your existing VZW family plan. Home Connect offers its users Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Caller ID, Three-Way Calling, Voice Mail, and International Calling to name some of the features. Interesting approach since T-Mobile had a similar service like this a while back, we’ll see if this lasts longer that theirs.
