According to BGR’s well-placed sources, RIM is tired of WhatsApp and Kik taking advantage of their bread & butter. The expansion of the BBM app & messenger service would make sense despite the possibility of losing many BlackBerry users. RIM would offer a simplified version of BBM for a one-time fee and lacking the ability to share files, media, & location with other users. At the moment, BGR claimed that Android is already on board with possibility of a launch before year’s end as RIM is still working with Apple to finalize their details. So if anyone was looking to venture outside of the world of RIM, your future is looking great. Anyone who used to be on BlackBerry excited?
