Now that the Wi-Fi version of the BlackBerry PlayBook is available to all, we thought we would share some tips and tricks courtesy of CrackBerry.    Being a completely new tablet with a new OS that’s neither iOS and Android there are new innovative ways to do things on the PlayBook.   The new QNX OS uses swiping, gestures, and tapping to navigate your way  around RIM’s first tablet.   We highlight some of the tips that maybe useful to you guys below.

1) Instead of using the recessed Power button to power, you can swipe from bezel to bezel.  Doesn’t matter from left to right or top to bottom.

2) If you rarely come across a troublesome app that freezes up your PlayBook, you can just hold the Power button for 10 to 15 seconds to restart the tablet.

3) Swipe down from the top bezel to mid-screen to access to the option menu from any app that you are in.

4) Swipe diagonally from the top/right or top/left to the center of the screen to access the status bar (seen on the homescreen) that shows off battery life, Wi-Fi signal, Bluetooth, music player, and orientation lock.

5) Tap and hold to save image, copy/paste links or images.

6) To take screenshots with your PlayBook, just simply press both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time.

Enjoy!
