ASUS has been working something different to offer consumers as they enter the smartphone/tablet market and they have come up with the Padfone. And the Padfone is all within the name as it is a smartphone that docks inside of a tablet. The hybrid design phone/tablet will be running Android (which OS, currently unknown) as the full specs and pricing is currently unknown. One of the more interesting thing is that there is a hole where the phone is docked as tablet uses the phone’s camera as seen in the image below.
This is definitely groundbreaking in regards to design but the question is will it be powerful enough to keep up today’s standards of phones/tablets. We may get an official announcement tomorrow during the Computex conference in Taiwan. Very nice, ASUS. We are already want one. Another shot of the Padfone is below.
