Rueters reported yesterday that Verizon will be making some changes to their data pricing packages.   They talked to VZW CFO Fran Shammo as she reinforced that this summer, they will make changes top their data plans.   Expect VZW to kill off unlimited data plans for tiered pricing that will have heavy data users pay more.   Also they want to look into offering shared data plans for families instead of the current $29.99 monthly charge for data per users per month.  No official word on when the family data plans may become effective.   In other words: families using VZW, shared data plans may come and individuals can goodbye unlimited data and hello to tiered plans this summer.
