Yesterday, Google unveiled their new social experience named Google+ to the world. This is Google’s try at offering a social networking service. Google+ features include: Circles, Hangouts, Sparks, Huddle, & Instant Upload. Circles allows users to create several sub-set group of friends to share content with. Hangouts is a video chat service to catch up with everyone in your circle(s) that maxes at 10 people per chat room. Sparks acts as a news feed/RSS feed of your desired content for your circles of friends to see. Huddle sticks to its name and offers users group messaging. And lastly Instant Upload does exactly that as well as the ability to transfer photos in the cloud.
The Google+ service is by invite only as the service is still in limited trial mode as Google tells early adopters to not expect perfection. Sounds interesting but will it catch on? Check out the demo videos showing off Google+’s features followed by a link to request your invite if you are interested.
