Last night we were fortunate enough attend Android Central’s reader meetup in NYC. Samsung sponsored the shindig by having a plethora of Galaxy Tab 10.1 on display for everyone to get their hands on it. We got our chance to demo the newest Android tablet made by Samsung. We got some photos as we talk about our first impressions on it.
When you first pick up the new Tab, you easily notice how light it is for a tablet that size. It’s a world of a difference compared to the XOOM which seems heavy. Not only is it light, it is also incredibly thin. The Tab 10.1 measures at only 8.6 mm thin as opposed to the XOOM with 12.9mm.
The Tab 10.1 performs very well with the 1GB of RAM and dual-core 1GHz processor as it is ready for prime-time. The new Tab 10.1 will ship next week running the newest Android 3.1 OS as well. We hope to get our hands on our own for a full review. Check out more photos of the new Tab below.
