Just when you thought the folks at RIM already had it rough as iOS 5 took at key part of their OS and recently announced low PlayBook shipments, more bad news ensues. As part of their investor conference call, Co-CEO of RIM announced that the 4G PlayBook (models for each version of 4G HSPA+, LTE, & WiMAX) will launch this fall. They were previously scheduled for a summer release. And unfortunately the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 will also be delayed until Fall instead of the originally promised summer launch. Pretty much confirming the rumor of its delay.  Boy when it rains, it pours. RIM needs to get the PlayBook updated with key app support, native BBM/email, and Android apps ASAP along with really speeding up bringing QNX to their smartphones. The more waiting & delaying they do, the possibility of more customers lost.
