False alarm. VZW spokesperson was actually referring to their 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 not the Galaxy S II. Sorry to get your hopes up with out actual confirmation.
Thanks to a Verizon spokeswoman providing confirmation via email, VZW subscribers can expect the newest Android ‘superphone’ by Samsung to launch sometime in July. Computer World were the ones to receive confirmation of the news as this coincides with the rumor of all four major US carriers to launch the device. No word on a specific date or price point for the 4.3inch Super AMOLED Plus device powered by a dual-core processor, running the latest version of Android, slim design w/ a 8MP shooter + front-facing shooter. Great news but now we need to know the money aspect of it.
