Today is the day many of you have been waiting for.  Apple unveiled its refreshed line of Mac products today for the world to see.   Apple updated its MacBook Air line, Mac Mini, their 27inch Cinema Display, as well as discontinuing the entry-level MacBook.   All of the new Macs will be pre-loaded with latest Mac OS X Lion of course.  The new MacBook Airs now offers the latest Intel Core i5 & i7 dual-core processors, high-speed Thunderbolt ports, back-lit keyboards, in an 11.6inch & 13inch screen sizes with the RAM ranging from 2GB to 4GB, and storage sizes ranging from 64GB to 256GB.   The new MacBook Airs start at $999 and are available starting today.

The new Mac Minis as you can see from the photo above, is missing the optical drive but is armed with Intel Core i5 & i7 dual-core processors, high-speed Thunderbolt ports, with RAM ranging from 2GB to 8GB, and storage sizes ranging from 500GB to 1.5TB.   Interesting that Apple would remove the optical drive but you still have the option of CD/DVD sharing if you have another Mac/PC for access of their optical drive.   You also have HDMI ports & a SDXC slot.   The new Mac Minis start at $599 and can be ordered today or picked up in stores tomorrow.

And last but not least, Apple updated their 27inch Cinema Display as it is now called the Apple Thunderbolt Display.  The new Display offers a 27inch LED screen w/ 2560 x 1440 resolution + 16:9 aspect ratio, HD FaceTime cameras, armed with a slew of ports similar to the iMac, allows easy sharing screens with out Mac/PC systems, and a built-in, 49-watt 2.1 stereo speaker system.   Priced at $999.99 and will be shipping in 6 to 8 weeks.

Along with the all of these announcements, there is something missing in the Apple inventory.  The entry-level, White MacBook is absent as it has been discontinued but can still be picked up for $849 refurbished.   That’s all of the Apple news for today.   Hit the links below for more details or to place your order.
