Thanks to a Crackberry tipster and his trusty camerphone, was able to share the details on an up-and-coming update for the BlackBerry PlayBook. The image above is from the Canadian carrier Bell but the new features/enhancements would apply to anyone with a PlayBook. There were rumors of this update rolling out sometime on Friday afternoon/evening but yet we still await. The list of new things coming are below after the break and still no native email, BBM, calendar, or Android app support as of yet.
New features:
- Broader regional customization and additional language support
- improved productivity with BlackBerry bridge
- Zip files received as email attachment can now be viewed on smartphone
- Flexibility to save attachments to SD card or internal memory of smartphone
- Improved multimedia experience
- Pictures can be viewed in portrait or landscape layout
- Videos can be Zoomed into while it is still playing
