AT&T is ready to do battle with Verizon to see who has the fastest mobile 4G LTE in the game, almost. While AT&T is aggressively beefing up their “4G” HSPA+ network to have for their subscribers to fall back to, their LTE network is not quite ready for public consumption. AT&T subscribers can anticipate at least one LTE device before year’s end but should expect LTE data cards/USB modems before a phone. This bit of news comes straight from the carrier’s Senior VP on Consumer Markets as their goal is to be offer the fastest network speeds. With Verizon’s blazing 4G speeds out there, good luck AT&T.
