The 5inch Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 |
After spending some time with the Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 & 5.0, I think it is a welcomed addition to the Galaxy family. It is basically Samsung’s version of the iPod Touch being an Android media player made by a big manufacturer. This being a Galaxy device minus the phone, offers users apps, GPS, FM radio w/ headphones, and email all courtesy of Wi-Fi. Both Galaxy Players are light and work as well as to be expected running Android 2.3.5 w/ TouchWiz and armed lower specs than the Galaxy S II (like 1GHz single-core CPU & 512MB of RAM possibly). I was more partial to the 5.0 Player due to its bigger screen as Levon preferred the 4.0 Player being just right for him. We hope to offer a full review on these sometime in the near future for a more in-depth look. Check out more photos below.
