This goes out to those out there like me looking to leave T-Mobile to join the iOS party.   With AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon all offering the iPhone 4S, there are some factors to consider before choosing your new cellular home.  9to5Mac got some tidbits of info that may help in deciding which carrier will be your iPhone 4S home.   Of course this is for those who are not gonna wait for the next iPhone.

  • First of all, only the AT&T i4S will see the speed increase to 14.4Mbps as Sprint & Verizon will be your standard 3G.
  • Sprint joins Verizon with their iPhones having CDMA limitations like NOT being able to do data & voice simultaneously (bummer).
  • Sprint’s is the only major US carrier who still offers true unlimited data plans.
  • Sprint scores the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4 but the 3GS is still an AT&T exclusive.
  • All i4S devices are carrier-locked so you wouldn’t be able to use a Verizon i4S on Sprint’s network and vice-versa.
