Fans of the original Transformer will love to hear all of the lovely upgrades made with the newest Android tablet w/ keyboard dock. The Transformer Prime is equipped with a 10.1inch Super IPS + Gorilla Glass display w/ 1280 x 800 resolution, runs Android 3.2 (Android 4.0 update coming early next year), powered by NVIDIA’s recently announced Tegra 3 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, arriving in 32GB or 64GB storage sizes, GPS, gyroscope, 1.2MP front-facing & 8MP rear-facing, auto-focusing f/2.4 lens w/ LED flash capable of 1080p HD video, microSD slot, mini-HDMI-out port, 12 hour battery life and measures in at 8.3mm thick w/o a dock.
The signature keyboard dock will arrive equipped with a slimmer, lighter design (weighing in at 1.2lbs) and armed with an optical trackpad, SD card slot, USB 2.0 port and adds 6 more hours of battery life to the device as well. The keyboard dock will cost you $149 while the Transformer Prime itself will cost you $499 for the 32GB model & $599 for the 64GB model. So who’s getting one?
