Android users always had a leg up on iOS users with native Gmail support since both platforms launched.   It’s not like iOS didn’t have any access at all, Google provided them with a web app to was good workaround.  You could always hack your Gmail with Exchange to get a true push Google email experience as well.  According to the ParisLemon, Google is currently working an official app to the famed Apple platform to give iOS users true push Gmail without having to hack, mod, or tweak things.   But along with push email, the app is also slated to offer Priority Inbox, starring messages, threading , and possible Google+ integration as well.   Don’t get excited until Google makes it official because other than that, this is just speculation.
