Earlier today Google announced a new, free news reading app called Google Currents made available for Android & iOS devices. Think of it as a news feed with a slick magazine-like UI with content from over 150 publishers and over 180 publications like CNET, Fast Company, Forbes, Huffington Post, and more. The app supports RSS, video/photo feeds, Google + streams, and Google Reader subscriptions. All content on Google Currents is optimized for smartphones and tablet screens. So far it is a great app for keeping up with news feeds with some visual styling to it. BTW, don’t forget to add TechGuySmartBuy to your feeds.
