CES is not only for new smartphones, tablets, and HDTVS; it is also a time for new cameras to shine as well.   The company makes sure to offer superior optics with their new point-and-shooters.  Canon made sure bring out its Sunday’s best with their new PowerShot ELPH 520HS and the 110HS.   The 520HS offers users a 10.1MP 28mm lens w/ a 12x optical zoom, the ability to reach ISOs up to 3200, capable of 1080p HD video, can shoot repeatedly at 6.8 frames per second all on a 3inch LCD display.   Consumers can expect this shooter in stores sometime in March with a $299.99 price tag and available in Black, Silver, Red & Blue colors. 
While the 110HS, which is aimed more towards first-time photographers, offers a 16MP 24mm lens w/ a 5x optical zoom, the ability to reach ISOs up to 3200, capable of 1080p HD video, can shoot repeatedly at 5.8 frames per second also on a 3inch LCD display.   Consumers can expect this shooter to arrive sometime in February with a $249.99 price tag and available in Black, Silver, Red, Blue, Green, & Pink colors. 
Both models are equipped with the new DIGIC 5 processing system for more accurate colors, faster processing, & better image quality in low-light settings.  Also added to both is the new Advanced Smart AUTO feature to help detect the best scene to take your picture in with a selection of 58 scenes to choose from like landscape, people, moving subjects, etc.  So, who needs a new point-and-shoot for the new year?
