Bad news for you AT&T subscribers who kept your unlimited data plans. Many of you may have received text messages from the carrier saying you are basically using too much of their unlimited data. The carrier says that their top 5% of unlimited users go over 3GB of data per month and those that do will see the speeds slowed down. The same applies for subscribers who grandfathered into unlimited data plans with LTE devices but the cap will occur for those who go past 5GB of data per month. Your data speeds with still be unlimited but at a slower, less desired speed. In other words, the carrier has figured out a way to put the normal data tiers into the unlimited data users in the form of data caps.
