Remember the Tether app for iOS when it came and got pulled the same day? Well Tether is back and has bypassed Apple’s App Store to provide a HTML5 web app. This app is ideal for those still with unlimited data plans and are constantly working on the go. You just need to install Tether’s program onto your PC or Mac and connect your iPhone/iPad to an ad hoc Wi-Fi network to use your iDevice as a modem.
The iTether app in the App Store was priced at $14.99 as a one-time fee but the web app will be require an annual subscription fee. For the first year, for those who grab the app this week, with be $14.99 and then $29.99 for every year thereafter. This will be a more expensive workaround for interested users.
