With the older model mentioned in Wireless Audio Holiday Guide, AT&T just announced availability of the new Beats By Dre Beatbox portable speaker. The new Beatbox will come armed with portable inputs like a 3.5mm jacks, wireless Bluetooth support, built-in iPod/iPhone dock, two handles, and a remote control. The good news is that you will be able to get 15 hours of continuous usage but the bad news is that it requires 6 D batteries like the old school boom boxes. The Beatbox will launch for $399 and come in Black or White colors available only online and at AT&T retailers as an exclusive. Looks like Beats is moving from personal to home audio with this move. I wonder if they will take a stab at home theater audio systems in the near future.
